About Jason Cohen
It didn’t come as a surprise to anyone when I became a Certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist. For many years dog training was just a hobby, but while volunteering with Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue I soon realized that helping humans and dogs communicate better is the best way to saving these amazing dogs’ lives and decided being a Dog Trainer was the path for me.
This brought me to the largest and most comprehensive dog training school in the world, Starmark Academy. My search for knowledge never ends and I have continued my education and growth as a trainer to find more ways to help you and your dog live the best life possible. You can read more about my continued education here.
Over the years, it's been an honor to help dogs with separation anxiety become more comfortable in their homes when they're alone; teach dogs in multi-dog households how to live peacefully with each other; help dogs understand how to come when called; and even how to walk calmly on the city street near other dogs. But one of the most rewarding achievements is helping dogs overcome their fears, enabling them to become confident and happy dogs. Seeing humans learning to communicate properly with their dogs, for me, is what it's all about. You can also listen to some interviews to learn more about me, training dogs, and my path to becoming a dog trainer.
I am a Veteran of the US Army, a Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), and the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT).
